Phtoramys hidalguense
Taxonomy
Phtoramys hidalguense was named by Pascual et al. (1965). Its type specimen is MLP 57-X-l0-94, a mandible (Porción de cuerpo rnandibular de- recho con la rama ascendente rota y con P4- m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Salinas Grandes de Hidalgo, which is in a Huayquerian fluvial siltstone in the Epecuén Formation of Argentina.
