Propediolagus marplatensis
Taxonomy
Propediolagus marplatensis was named by Ortega Hinosa (1963). Its type specimen is MMP 52-X-5-19, a mandible (ambas ramas mandibulares fragmentadas col p4 - m1 y el alveolo del m2 izquirerdos y el p4 derecho), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mar del Plata, which is in a Chapadmalalan terrestrial horizon in the Chapadmalal Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Propediolagus.
