Taxonomy
Sanguinolites bellerophontium was named by Kittl (1903). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Han Orahovica, SSE of Prača, which is in a Lopingian marine horizon in the Bellerophon Formation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
