Retzia pseudolyrata was named by Bittner (1912). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Veszprém-Jutas railway, Profile IV, which is in a Carnian marine horizon in Hungary.
It was recombined as Cassianospira pseudolyrata by Guo et al. (2019).
