Ferrodraco lentoni
Taxonomy
Ferrodraco lentoni was named by Pentland et al. (2019) [Anhanguerian pterodactyloid diagnosed by the following autapomorphies: (1) first tooth pair of the premaxilla and mandible smaller than other anterior teeth; (2) fourth up to seventh teeth smaller than third and eighth.]. Its type specimen is AODF 876, a partial skeleton (Anterior portion of skull comprising partial premaxillae, maxillae and dentaries (including premaxillary and mandibular crests and the mandibular symphysis); pa), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pterosaur site, Belmont Station (AODL 0245), which is in a Cenomanian/Turonian floodplain siltstone in the Winton Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Ferrodraco.
