Taxonomy
Pariadens was named by Cifelli and Eaton (1987). It is not extant. Its type is Pariadens kirklandi.
It was assigned to Stagodontidae by Cifelli and Eaton (1987), McKenna and Bell (1997), Cifelli (2004), Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004), Goin et al. (2006); to Marsupialia by Fox and Naylor (2006); and to Stagodontidae by Williamson et al. (2012), Wilson et al. (2016).
It was assigned to Stagodontidae by Cifelli and Eaton (1987), McKenna and Bell (1997), Cifelli (2004), Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004), Goin et al. (2006); to Marsupialia by Fox and Naylor (2006); and to Stagodontidae by Williamson et al. (2012), Wilson et al. (2016).
