Taxonomy
Solen clallamensis was named by Clark and Arnold (1923). Its type specimen is UCMP IP 30242 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sekiu Point, which is in a Chattian marine horizon in the Pysht Formation of Washington.
