Vegaranina precocia

Taxonomy
Lophoranina precocious was named by Feldmann et al. (1996). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapa de Corzo County, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian shallow subtidal limestone in Mexico.

It was recombined as Vegaranina precocious by van Bakel et al. (2012) and Karasawa et al. (2014); it was recombined as Vegaranina precocia by Luque et al. (2017) and Schweitzer et al. (2018).
