Physogaleus alabamensis

Taxonomy
Galeocerdo alabamensis was named by Leriche (1942). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Melvin, southeast of, which is in a Priabonian marginal marine mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Yazoo Formation of Alabama.

It was synonymized subjectively with Galeocerdo latidens by Leder (2013); it was recombined as Physogaleus alabamensis by Ebersole et al. (2019), Türtscher et al. (2021).
