Vasseuromys rambliensis
Taxonomy
Vasseuromys rambliensis was named by Ruiz-Sánchez et al. (2012) [types housed in the Department of Stratigraphy and Palaeontology of
the University of the Basque Country]. Its type specimen is PF1-15, a tooth (isolated right lower first molar), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pico del Fraile 1 (PF1), which is in an Aquitanian/Burdigalian terrestrial horizon in the Tudela Formation of Spain.
