Taxonomy
Dromia hilarionis was named by Bittner (1883). It is the type species of Pseudodromilites.

It was recombined as Dromilites hilarionis by Beschin et al. (2005), De Angeli and Caporiondo (2009) and Schweitzer et al. (2010); it was recombined as Pseudodromilites hilarionis by Schweitzer et al. (2012), Beschin et al. (2012), Beschin et al. (2016) and De Angeli and Alberti (2018).
