Taxonomy
Dromiopsis vicetinus was named by Beschin et al. (2016). Its type specimen is MCZ.3905-I.G.361720 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cava Boschetto di Chiampo [upper Chiampo Marble] - Coleoidea, which is in a Lutetian carbonate volcaniclastic in the Chiampo Marble Formation of Italy.
