Taxonomy
Mithracia lovatoi was named by Beschin et al. (2016). Its type specimen is MCZ.4517-I.G.367121 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cava Braggi di Vestenanova, which is in a Lutetian marine horizon in Italy.
