Taxonomy
Santeexanthus caporiondoi was named by Beschin et al. (2016). Its type specimen is MCZ.3861-I.G.367060 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cava Lovara, Chiampo, which is in a Lutetian marine sandstone in Italy.
