Wallia was named by Storer (1984). It is not extant. Its type is Wallia scalopidens.
It was assigned to Chiroptera by Legendre (1985); to Proscalopidae by Storer (1984), Storer (1996); and to Molossidae by Czaplewski et al. (2008).
