Argornis caucasicus
Taxonomy
Argornis caucasicus was named by Karhu (1999). Its type specimen is PIN 4425-18, a skeleton (incomplete, partially crushed articulated skeleton including the vertebral column, shoulder girdle, and forelimbs), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pshekha River, Gornyi Luch (Kuma horizon), which is in a Bartonian marine horizon in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Argornis.
