Taxonomy
Pleuromeia reniformis was named by Cantrill and Webb (1998). It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is QM F33259. Its type locality is QMF L78, "The Crater", which is in an Induan fluvial mudstone/ironstone in the Arcadia Formation of Australia.
