Taxonomy
Cycadopteris was named by Zigno (1853). It is not extant. Its type is Cycadopteris ungeri.

It was assigned to Pteridophyta by Andrews (1970); and to Corystospermaceae by Lakhanpal et al. (1976) and Chandra and Tewari (1991).
