Protaspis (Cyrtaspidichthys) ovata
Taxonomy
Cyrtaspis ovatus was named by Bryant (1932). Its type specimen is PU 13488, a partial skeleton (Dorsal and ventral shields of the same individual preserved as natural moulds of the inner surface of the dorsal shield and of the outer surface of the ventral ), and it is a mold. It is the type species of Cyrtaspidichthys.
It was recombined as Protaspis (Cyrtaspidichthys) ovata by Denison (1970).
