Taxonomy
Cyrtaspis sculptus was named by Bryant (1933). Its type specimen is PU 13550, a partial skeleton (A dorsal shield, lacking the rostral region, in yellow limestone), and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Protaspis (Cyrtaspidichthys) sculpta by Denison (1970).
