Taxonomy
Balnibarbi ceryx anataphra was named by Fortey (1974). Its type specimen is PMO NF 651, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Cloacaspis anataphra by Wagner (2020); it was recombined as Cloacaspis ceryx anataphra by Hopkins (2019), Fortey et al. (2024).
