Antarcticavis capelambensis
Taxonomy
Antarcticavis capelambensis was named by Cordes-Person et al. (2020). Its type specimen is SDSM 78147, a set of postcrania, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SDSM Locality V9945 (Al's Bird Site), which is in a Maastrichtian marine mudstone in the Snow Hill Island Formation of Antarctica. It is the type species of Antarcticavis.
