Taxonomy
Glirudinus matusi was named by Joniak et al. (2017). Its type specimen is EUNMH PV-15290, a tooth (left M1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gökler, which is in a Miocene terrestrial lignite in Türkiye.
