Graphiurops was named by Bachmayer and Wilson (1980). It is not extant. Its type is Graphiurops austriacus.
It was assigned to Dryomyinae by Daams and de Bruijn (1995); and to Gliridae by Bachmayer and Wilson (1980), McKenna and Bell (1997).
