Othonella araguaiana
Taxonomy
Othonella araguaiana was named by Mendes (1963). Its type specimen is DGP 7-982, a valve, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Alto Garça powerhouse, Rio Bonito, which is in a Wordian/Wuchiapingian lacustrine siliciclastic in the Corumbataí Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Othonella.
