Maaradactylus spielbergi
Taxonomy
Coloborhynchus spielbergi was named by Veldmeijer (2003). Its type specimen is RGM 401 880, a partial skeleton (Skull and postcrania), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chapada do Araripe [Romualdo Fm.] (general), which is in an Aptian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal shale in the Romualdo Formation of Brazil.
It was recombined as Anhanguera spielbergi by Rodrigues and Kellner (2008); it was synonymized subjectively with Coloborhynchus robustus by Martill and Unwin (2011); it was recombined as Maaradactylus spielbergi by Jacobs et al. (2019).
