Dikkomys was named by Wood (1936). It is not extant. Its type is Dikkomys matthewi.

It was assigned to Heteromyidae by Wood (1936), Korth (1997).

Synonyms

Horatiomys was named by Wood (1935). Its type is Horatiomys montanus.

It was synonymized subjectively with Dikkomys by Black (1969); it was considered a nomen dubium by Akersten (1973), Rensberger (1982), Rensberger (1983), Munthe (1988), Korth (1994).
