Diagnosis

H. de Bruijn 1976Medium to large Cricetodontini with brachyodont to hypsodont cheeck teeth, upper incisors with one shallow longitudinal furrow. Ectolophs of the upper molars well developed. Lingual spur of the anterolophule of M1 prominent. M2 wider anteriorly wider than posteriorly. m1 and m2 of about the same length. Wear surfaces of all cheek teeth concave.
