Ogmodontomys was named by Hibbard (1941) [used without justification by Chaline et al. 1999]. It is not extant.
It was synonymized subjectively with Mimomys by Repenning (1987), Czaplewski (1990) and Korth (1994).
It was assigned to Microtinae by Kurten and Anderson (1980); and to Cricetidae by Hibbard (1941), McKenna and Bell (1997) and Martin et al. (2002).
