Taxonomy
Ophiocamax ventosa was named by Jagt et al. (2014). Its type specimen is NBC RGM 791 150 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is North of Tarleton Point, which is in a Miocene deep-water sandstone in the Grand Bay Formation of Grenada.
