Taxonomy
Pseudoscyliorhinus schwarzhansi was named by Müller and Diedrich (1991). Its type specimen is Nr 12 513 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ascheloh, which is in a Cenomanian marine limestone in Germany.

A. Müller and C. Diedrich 1991Eine auf Kieferzähnen begründete Art mit folgenden Merkmalen: Zähne mit labiolingual stark komprimierten, abgeflachten Kronen, welche in eine gut entwickelte Hauptspitze und mindestens ein Paar deutlich separierter Nebenspitzen unterteilt sind. Kronen mit vertikaler Schmelzstreifung, auf der Lingualseite schwächer entwickelt als auf der Labialseite. Wurzel niedrig, aber in labiolingualer Richtung stark erweitert. Basisfläche daher sehr umfangreich und völlig eben. Wurzel bei allen Zähnen durchweg hemiaulacorhiz.
