Taxonomy
Otodus koerti was named by Stromer (1910). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Adabion (Oppenheim collection), which is in a Thanetian marine horizon in Togo.
It was recombined as Odontaspis koerti by White (1926); it was recombined as Brachycarcharias koerti by Marramà et al. (2019).
