Epecuenia thoatherioides
Taxonomy
Epecuenia thoatherioides was named by Cabrera (1939). Its type specimen is MLP-III-7-12, a set of limb elements (Metacarpiano tercrro izquierdo completo, con la parte proximal drl llletacarpiano cuarto adherida; e\lremo proximal de los metatarsianos segundo y tercero derec), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Robilotte field - SE of Epecuén lagoon & E of Laguna de Epecuén, which is in a Huayquerian terrestrial siltstone/siltstone in the Epecuén Formation of Argentina.
