Taxonomy

Yuomys was named by Li (1975). Its type is Yuomys cavioides.

It was assigned to Paramyinae by Li (1975); to Chapattimyinae by Averianov (1996); to Ctenodactylidae by McKenna and Bell (1997); to Yuomyinae by Tong (1997); and to Ctenodactyloidea by Li and Meng (2015).
