Taxonomy
Parastramentum peakei was named by Gale (2016). Its type specimen is NHMUK IC 1238 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cringleford Newfound Farm pit, sample CR1, which is in a Campanian carbonate limestone in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Parastramentum.
