Eubostrychoceras (Amapondella) was named by Kennedy and Klinger (1997). Its type is Heteroceras amapondense.

It was reranked as Amapondella by Klinger et al. (2007), Shigeta and Izukura (2022).

It was assigned to Eubostrychoceras by Kennedy and Klinger (1997); and to Nostoceratidae by Klinger et al. (2007), Shigeta and Izukura (2022).
