Hybolophus subgibbosa
Taxonomy
Crassitellites subgibbosus was named by Hanna (1926). Its type specimen is CAS 1818, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS 682 - Alverson Cañon [Imperial Fm], which is in a Pliocene marine sandstone in California.
It was recombined as Eucrassatella (Hybolophus) subgibbosa by Stanton (1966); it was recombined as Eucrassatella subgibbosus by Moore (2003), Powell (2008); it was recombined as Hybolophus subgibbosa by Hendy (2020).
