Taxonomy
Pollicipes imbricatus was named by Withers (1910). Its type specimen is BMNH I.13519, an other (right scutum), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Blackdown (Vicary collection), which is in an Albian coastal siliciclastic in the Blackdown Greensand Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Cretiscalpellum imbricatum by Collins (1974).
