Titanolepas tuberculata
Taxonomy
Scalpellum tuberculatum was named by Darwin (1851). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Charing, chalk detritus (Harris collection), which is in a Turonian/Turonian carbonate chalk in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Titanolepas.
It was recombined as Calantica (Titanolepas) tuberculata by Withers (1913); it was recombined as Titanolepas tuberculata by Gale (2015).
