Niedemys piauiensis
Taxonomy
Niedemys piauiensis was named by Kerber et al. (2016). Its type specimen is FUMDHAM 113-146365-2, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Toca do Serrote das Moendas, which is in a Pleistocene karst horizon in Brazil. It is the type species of Niedemys.
