Postcopemys chapalensis
Taxonomy
Postcopemys chapalensis was named by Rincón et al. (2016). Its type specimen is IGM-4850, a tooth (isolated left m1 (Fig. 2a, recov- ered from stratigraphic level 3).), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lake Chapala (Blancan level), which is in a Blancan terrestrial claystone in the Chapala Formation of Mexico.
