Plohophoroides conterminus was named by Castellanos (1928) [Horizonte -- Su procedencia es dudosa y lo hemos referido al piso Chapadmalense por los caracteres del loess, de color amarillo pardo, algo rojizo, que conserva aún adherido en la pieza, por h naturaleza de su fosilización y por poseer un color amarillo blan- quecino con manchas negras aisladas de bióxido de manganeso. El conocimiento de otros especímenes confirman mi suposición sobre la citada procedencia]. Its type specimen is N°. 92, col. de Paleontología del Museo de La Plata, a set of postcrania (Tubo caudal con las vértebras correspondientes), and it is a 3D body fossil.
