Coscinocercus brachyurus
Taxonomy
Coscinocercus brachyurus was named by Cabrera (1939). Its type specimen is MLP 37-III-7-10, a set of postcrania (Tubo caudal completo, parte del último anillo caudal, frag- mentos del caparazón y placas sueltas.), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Robilotte field - SE of Epecuén lagoon & E of Laguna de Epecuén, which is in a Huayquerian terrestrial siltstone/siltstone in the Epecuén Formation of Argentina.
