Taxonomy
Holmesina cryptae was named by Moura et al. (2019). Its type specimen is LPP-PV-001, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gruta da Lapinha, which is in a Lujanian karst carbonate in Brazil.
