Sanxiasaurus modaoxiensis
Taxonomy
Sanxiasaurus modaoxiensis was named by Hu Dai et al. (2019). Its type specimen is CLGPR V00003, a partial skeleton (A partial postcranial skeleton consists of 55 bones including two cervical vertebrae, 11 dorsal vertebrae, 4 sacrum vertebrae, 18 caudal vertebrae, both humeri,), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Laojun Village, which is in a Toarcian/Aalenian lacustrine siltstone in the Xintiangou Formation of China.
