Taxonomy
Arcoscalpellum scaniensis was named by Gale (2015). Its type specimen is NHM IC 960 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Röper lens, Ivö Klack, which is in a Campanian open shallow subtidal packstone in Sweden.
It was recombined as Diotascalpellum scaniensis by Gale (2016).
