Johnlongia parvidens

Taxonomy
Odontaspis parvidens was named by Cappetta (1973). Its type specimen is SDK31, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SE of Hot Springs, which is in a Turonian marine sandstone in the Carlile Shale Formation of South Dakota.

It was recombined as Johnlongia parvidens by Siverson (1996), Cicimurri (2001), Cicimurri (2004), Shimada et al. (2006), Cook et al. (2008), Hamm and Cicimurri (2011), Cook et al. (2013).
