Taxonomy
Parasymbolus reticularis was named by Underwood and Mitchell (1999). Its type specimen is LIVCM 1998.20.BJ, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sample 6a, South Ferriby, which is in an Albian offshore marl in the Hunstanton Formation of the United Kingdom.
