Taxonomy
Chiplonkarina preeceorum was named by Taylor and Gordon (2007). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CH/f319 - Kahuitara Tuff, Kahuitara Point, which is in a Piripauan transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone in the Kahuitara Tuff Formation of New Zealand.
