Taxonomy
Paratriakis tenuis was named by Underwood and Ward (2008). Its type specimen is BMNH P.66413, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Overgrown quarry NNW of Boxford, which is in a Santonian carbonate chalk in the United Kingdom.
